The Southern England based NHS Trust provides general, acute and emergency healthcare services to approximately 200,000 people and specialist services to a population of more than three million. The Duke of Cornwall Spinal Treatment Centre covers most of southern England, serving a population of 11 million. Having achieved three stars in the NHS performance ratings in 2004 and 2005, the Trust was awarded Foundation Trust status in 2006.
